Dear Nana Opal, 103 years young left the earth this weekend for a better place! A true hero, a real woman with no excuses, she lived a life of devotion to her church, her family and her work. She was a pragmatist that didnt need self help books, diets or feel good fixes she had the secret to life, live it and be thankful, find the blessing in every situation and be kind to your children no matter what they bring at you each and every day. This too will pass was her constant advice to my whining! I loved her with all my heart and will truly miss her, my father will miss her, all of her grandchildren and her great grandchildren will miss her welcoming them at every visit to her nursing home. A receptive audience to the numerous hobbies, singing, dancing, guitar playing and song composition that were flung on her at any given visit. A proud Canadian born on Canada Day! The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. God Bless our Grandmothers for all their wisdom and strength.
