Dear National Media, Steven Gerrard is not dead. No one other than a few scousers and plastic scousers dotted around the uk clinging onto the glory they chased in the 80s gives a monkeys that he is leaving Liverpool. He has had his moments of quality for Liverpool but that is of no interest to 90% of the nation. An explanation for his failure to live up to his club legendary status for England would be appreciated but other than that please please dont bang on for the next 6 months about it.
