Dear Parents Everywhere, A couple of things about your care - TopicsExpress

Dear Parents Everywhere, A couple of things about your care provider that they dont want to bore you with but are extremely important... 1. Your childcare most likely has a passion for working with children. They also have a passion for food, clothing and shelter. Paying fees in full of the amount agreed and on the dates agreed is common courtesy. 2. When you no longer require care we understand. There are many reasons to not need care. Moving, marriage, a child growing up etc ... But you must give the notice as stated in your contract or finish paying the month leaving. We dont ask this to nag... We ask this because we cant replace that open spot with two days time and now we are $600 short for rent. 3. Just like you and your kids we are human. We have hard days, we get sick and sometimes we arent as cheerful as we would like to be. Respect that and where there is concern let us know - we know all about talking about feelings! 4. Yes, when you look at how many kids we have and times it by our rates we do make that much. We also pay upwards $1500 or more in rent to have a large enough space to care for them, spend an extra $500-700 on food each month to support the dayhome, $100+ on craft supplies and lets not even get into the broken toys we replace daily. 5. If your child is staying home that day we totally respect that but please dont expect a one day discount... We have already budgetted our month. I love all of the dayhome kids and families I have... There are some instances these last few months though support my need to share this.
