Dear Pawan Kalyan, I’m writing this open letter to you - TopicsExpress

Dear Pawan Kalyan, I’m writing this open letter to you comprising various points those have come in discussion with my friends here. I’m a medico. All these years we have seen one thing about South Indian Cinema. Whenever national media mentioned South Indian Cinema, only Rajni Kanth’s picture was used prominently. But now all the Telugus got confidence that in a few days to come, it is going to be only you, the Power Star Pawan Kalyan to replace Rajni Kanth. The reasons are not just your two back to back super block blusters and not the aspect that your films always receive gushing openings irrespective of your track record. It is your behavior off the screen and your silence for many controversies. A man becomes a celebrity by his talent, but becomes a legend by how he carries himself with his emotions in front of crowds. We all liked your dialogue with Brahmanandam in Attarintiki daredi – ‘nenu ee madhya baaga cool ayipoyanu kada?”. We connected that to your real life. Yes, you changed a lot. Now, you are not the one who reacted emotionally surrendering your pistol in a police station followed by an incident in your family, now you are not the one who gave retort to Mohan Babu by saying ‘Tammudoo..Mohan Babu..” when he tried to pull the leg of your brother Chiranjeevi during his felicitation for receiving Padma Bhushan and now you are not the emotional one who started CMPF abruptly and now you are not the one who said ‘panchalu ooda deesi kodataam’ during election campaign. In recent times you were silent about the gossips about you, you were silent about the AD piracy that shook entire state. That silence added a lot to your glory and that’s making you a legend. Yes, till yesterday you were just like Rajni Kanth and Amitabh, the national legends who were never volatile in front of public. But today you opened your heart in front of crowds during AD success meet. You gave a warning to the pirates stating that you know who they are and you are not going to leave them. And the words you used are really powerful and influencing. What is that you are conveying to fans? Without giving clarity on the culprits, you have indirectly given some hints resulting in speculation. Even if you have the evidences, then you would have said firmly that action is going to be taken on them legally. But the words like ‘thaata teesta’ are not up to your standard and are not legitimate. We can understand your true emotion, but we feel its not the way to put up. You might have satisfied fans with your words. But millions of people are watching you. And every star should remember that the number of fans are many times lesser when compared to the total audience and people those know him. A legend grows by satisfying the fans with mass appealing words and pleasing the rest with humble nature and intellectual approach. So, as the one representing a few admirers, I want to see you as true legend representing entire South Indian cinema, since you are on the way. And for this you should never do the following: Stepping into politics (eg: Chiranjeevi) Giving warnings on public platforms Reacting to nonsense that comes up in media And you should do the following: Minding the acting profession Social awareness campaigns and Maintaining poise in odd times Hail Pawan Kalyan. Hail his legendary image.
