Dear Penn State fan: I know it goes counter to some of your beliefs, but this Saturdays game with Temple, in my estimation, is HUGELY important for the program. Yes, a win makes Penn State bowl eligible. And while many of you may think solely on what that means for holiday travel plans, the real benefit of an accepted bowl invitation is the 3 weeks of extra practice time your team earns. For such a young squad, second youngest in the FBS, this extra practice time with our coaches is extremely valuable. I know its a noon kick...and I know its going to be cold. But to me, there is no bigger game this year than this one on Saturday. Our players, who continue to fight, scrap and work hard for themselves and for us, deserve our full and enthusiastic support. Temple is in the same position, on the cusp of clinching bowl eligibility, and I know they will be fired up. Lets do our part as fans and supporters to help make sure our team knows we are there early Saturday afternoon! Show up on time...and show up ready to yell, scream and make noise to support our Penn State Football Nittany Lions! Thanks for listening!
