Dear Philippine Government (Pnoy, OVP, DFA, Ph Embassy Riyadh, We - TopicsExpress

Dear Philippine Government (Pnoy, OVP, DFA, Ph Embassy Riyadh, We urge you to explore other options to see this case through, until Dondon Lanuza is released and is finally home. As a supporter it has been very disappointing and frustrating, we could only imagine what Dondon Lanuza goes through everyday since he is the one who is still languishing in jail experiencing this seemingly endless nightmare. Again, we understand that there are protocols and there is a process in place, but the fact that it is already delayed is no longer part of the process. So please, I hope our Embassy would seek other options. We can not let the circumstance just take control and say, "nothing can be done about it". We take pride as Filipinos in being creative and we constantly look for other ways, smarter ways to get things done, that creativity is very much needed at this point. Dondon Lanuza may be just one man to some of us, as stubborn and irritating as he may be at times because he is very outspoken, if I were in his shoes I would probably behave the same way. He is one man who can still make a difference, to many of us who are close to him, to many who have known him for a long time and to many who have watched him grow up from a boy to a man, he has a good heart and we know he deserves more. 13 years of his life has already been taken away from him, just because he defended himself, I think it is just right to look for other options to finally resolve the concerns with his release and repatriation. We ask this as citizens of our country who are very much concerned about a fellow Filipino who only wants to rebuild his life and regain everything that he has lost. It is a human right to be free. Compassion and mercy are 2 of the values that are practiced and celebrated in the month of Ramadan, let this be an opportunity for the Embassy to put into practice these values that we believe in and take advantage of the month of Ramadan to show him compassion and mercy after 13 years of suffering behind bars. Please, we beg and plead with you to do what you can. Seek other options. and let us give this man a chance to live his life again as a free man! Again, we are hoping for your immediate action on this matter. Thank you and God bless! Respectfully yours, Volunteer/Supporter Barya Mo Buhay Ko
