Dear President Jonathan, Its been more than two years since we - TopicsExpress

Dear President Jonathan, Its been more than two years since we gave you the mandate to lead us. Im well aware that you are surrounded by an army of advisers but I bet you are not abreast with the real Nigerian situation. This letter is therefore to tell you what I, and perhaps what the average Nigerian, feel about your administration. I have read many stories about your effort to make the country better on the pages of newspapers and I would like to tell you that I feel you did a good thing when you reviewed the subsidy policy. To me, the current status of the power sector is equally a plus to your administration. Mr President, I find it convenient to assume that your ascension to the presidency was by a divine arrangement, only God can say if that assumption is true or not. In any case, I fear for the most part of it, your tenure as president has been wasted. This is not about what Sahara Repoters, Premium Times, APC and their likes say, this is the truth. I cannot find any difference between your administration and the word corruption. The way you go about protecting your corrupt ministers is very embarrassing. The Oduahgate scandal was enough for you to sack Ms Oduah and resign but you neither sacked her nor did you even saction her in any way that the average Nigerian is aware of. You see, such things as infrastructural development are not the dividends of democracy, the dividends of democracy include but not limited to the protection of fundamental human rights. I understand that the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo did so many wrong things you could have corrected but which you ignored. Nobody is in a hurry to forget that you deliberately refused to appeal the verdict of the ICJ on the Bakassi Penisula against the wishes of the Bakassi people. You should know that your refusal to prosecute Obasanjo for his crimes against the people of Odi is a minus to your administration. Mr President do not be misled to think that this country is Turn By Turn (Nig) Ltd. It may be good you think of it as a co-operative society of which you are the president. I do hope you have furnished your house at Otuoke well because, should you choose to continue on the path you currently thread, on election day, Nigerians will join hands to push you out of Aso Villa. The ball is now in your court.
