Dear Raleigh-Wake WSSU Alumni: THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER MEETING, BUT AN ENGAGING OPPORTUNITY TO DIALOGUE WITH ACTION ITEMS... Thanks for your commitment to your Raleigh – Wake Winston-Salem State University Alumni Chapter and National Alumni Association! I am hoping you are excited and motivated, ready to kick off an invigorating year with your local Raleigh-Wake Chapter of the WSSU National Alumni Association. I hope you are committed and ready for a year (2014-15) of service and progressive evolution. …EVERYONE HAS A SKILL, A PLACE & A RESPONSIBILITY! I also hope you can and are willing to sit and engage in honest and open dialogue related to the direction of our chapter and aspirations to become all that we are and can be! Mr. Rodney Ellis, NC Association of Educators President, ncae.org/who-we-are/ncae-officers-and-board-of-directors/ and WSSU alumnus, has agreed to host our Raleigh-Wake Alumni Chapter on Sunday, March 9, 2014, 3:00 – 5:00 pm NCAE offices, 700 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. The agenda will be concise and allow for brief discussions related to our chapter moving forward with serious, sincere, exciting and intentional progress. Ultimately, this gathering will serve as our initial planning meeting for a SUMMER RETREAT and allow for commitments to serve and provide input related to our SUMMER RETREAT’s agenda. WE MUST START SOMEWHERE and really hope you are available and willing to commit to continue your service with our beloved WSSU chapter and associations. This is a ‘work in progress’, and your input and commitment to work towards our serious goals will be necessary if we are to be successful and that ‘BEACON OF LIGHT’ that Winston-Salem State University has, and will forever exemplify. PLEASE come prepared to seriously discuss your wishes, interests and skills, commitment and willingness to provide needed services, please bring instruments to record goals and necessary follow up.
