Dear Representative Grove: On behalf of the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), I wanted to thank you for your 100-percent support for small business so far during the 2013-14 session of the General Assembly. Throughout the legislative session NFIB has tracked roll call votes cast by Senators and Representatives on key small-business issues. The voting record includes only key votes on small-business issues, not all of the votes cast during the session. The votes tracked this session are among the highest priorities for NFIBs small-business members, including bills to lower healthcare costs, reduce lawsuit abuse and simplify the tax code. We are especially pleased that you stood with small business and voted to repeal the Pennsylvania “Death Tax” on small-business assets and eliminated the tax on business loans. Small-business owners pay close attention to how their elected representatives vote. The record shows that when the roll was called, you were a true and consistent advocate for Main Street small businesses.
