Dear Residents, In light of the Santa Ana winds and resulting brush fires in the area, we want to remind you to take special precautions and to follow all instruction from emergency personnel, particularly in the event of an evacuation. We recommend that you put together an emergency supply kit early – just in case of an evacuation. Attached is a checklist that you can use as a guide to help you identify items you can pull together now. It is highly unlikely you can take any personal belongings with you in the event of an evacuation, so we want you to be prepared with at least some essentials that can help in an emergency, such as medications, cash, ID, phones and chargers, and insurance papers. In addition to the checklist items, we offer the following recommendations: ·determine ahead of time where you can travel to, such as family or friends, and even consider evacuating prior to any mandatory evacuation. Highways are likely to be jammed in the event of any mandatory evacuations; leaving early may alleviate some of that added anxiety. ·fill up your car gas tank now to avoid a rush later. ·due to smoke and ash in the air (even without an evacuation), bring patio/balcony items into your apartment home to limit damage. Please remove bamboos from your patios and balconies. ·please consider checking on your neighbors to see if they need any assistance. We’ll continue to hope that our area isn’t seriously threatened. Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Take care. Be safe. Regards, AMLI Management
