Dear Rosario, My precious and loving son Rosario. I will always remember the Feast of Saint Joseph on March 19th , 2010 as the day you were laid to Eternal Rest. It has been four years now and mom and I miss you so very much. Not a day goes by that we do not think about you. Your eternal resting place was supposed to be for me. Mom and I had picked the two plots for ourselves after cousin Robert passed away. When God called you back home, I purchased the plot next to you, so you could be between mom and I. Just like Robert who will be resting between his parents. This morning, I returned to church for morning mass and re-lived the funeral. I recalled the church was packed with all our family and all your friends and acquaintances. They were all there, to honour You , and to witness your final farewell in the house of God. I can particularly remember when Mr. Kris King, the NHL Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations for NHLs central office in Toronto spoke so highly and so eloquently about you in church. A lot of your NHL buddies and Hall of Famer Mike Gartner were there, as well as your SportsNet Connected buddies. You were mentioned on SportsNet Connected that day. Your friend Andy Frost also dedicated his show “Leaf-Talk” to you after the Leafs beat The Senators. It was truly an honour hearing what your NHL friends had to say about “Ross the Ref” as they so dearly and so fondly referred to you as. Rosario, although you were only with us for a short 27 years, you left a profound imprint. Your kindness, love and smile lives forever in our hearts. Remember, that you are truly loved and missed by everyone whose life you touched. Rest in peace my precious and loving son. Rest in Eternal peace and Eternal happiness in heaven with all the angels and saints. And, most importantly with Jesus, our mother Mary and Joseph. Some day we will all be reunited.
