Dear Students and Parents, Im sure many, if not all, of you - TopicsExpress

Dear Students and Parents, Im sure many, if not all, of you have heard of the tragic death of Luke Cavanaugh a Wando student on Sunday night. Some of you may know his family who have attended Holy Cross where Lukes funeral will take place on Friday at 11am. If you knew Luke and would like someone to talk to, Trevor and I are available to listen and pray. If you do not know Luke or his family, I urge you to join us in prayer for all the families that have been forever changed by this terrible incident. We often feel helpless even hopeless and without answers at moments like these, and, while we do not presume to have the answers, we do know the One who does. I am thankful that we can cry out to God and know that he understands our pain and loss. I am thankful that He is not absent or far off but near to the brokenhearted. I encourage you to trust in God because through Jesus we have an eternal hope. In the midst of this tragedy, I am reminded that God gives us his body, his church, to walk together. With that in mind we will give time for students to share, grieve and ask questions at HS LifeGroup and HS Breakfast Club this week, we hope you will make use of these opportunities for your high school aged children. As always, we pray that the peace of our Lord Jesus will be with you. If we can serve you in any way, please do not hesitate to call on us.
