Dear Tibetans, Tashi Delek! We are very happy to announce the results of TGÖ pre-election. The following names are the top three candidates elected by TGÖ members from all over Austria. It is decided to post the main election on 6th April (Sunday) in Geluk Center at 1.30p.m. Therefore, all TGÖ members are requested to take ones biggest democratic rights and vote for the following candidates. And all regional Tibetans are requested to vote before 6th April and the representatives are requested to participate in the main election with the respective regional votes. TGÖ will bear the travel expenses for the representatives. Kindly read the following TGÖ rules before you cast your votes. §3. The strength of Board Members • There should be ten Board Members; President, Vice President, Secretary (English and German), Secretary (Tibetan), Cashier, Accountant, each local representative from the four respective regions (Tirol, Salzburg, Linz and Kantern and Graz). (If TGÖ movement gains bigger momentum, then the number of board members can be increased on that ground reality. Also if one region has more than five Tibetan families then that region can elect one representative from that region and if one region has less than five Tibetan families then that region should merge with the nearest region.) Board members term and election • The board term is for three years • All board members are directly elected by the TGÖ members • All other regions should hold elections before the actual election that goes in Vienna and should declare the votes during that actual election. • During election if one person is not able to come to vote, then that person can ask a trustworthy person to handover ones vote with signature in the ballet box, but that person cannot cast more than three votes on behalf of others. • Board Members qualification: One should be a member of TGÖ without having any bad reputations within TGÖ in the past to stand for election. • TGÖ election for board members holds at the beginning of April of every third year and at the beginning of May the responsibility should be passed onto the new board members 1.
