Dear UPS at 3501 Sycamore School Road (Store #3194): Youve been my shipper for the last 3 years and Ive yet to have a problem with you. But the last 3 times Ive sent products through you, youve raised my rates. Now, I charge my customers what the ups site charges, so that its all fair to everyone involved. So when I see online that it costs $12 to ship cookies and I go to your establishment and you charge me $20, I get irritated. I know Im a small business, but you survive on little guys like me. I pay you the delivery surcharge and the fuel surcharge and all the little fees and send my product. My customers are important to me. However it seems, when I complained to you about the rate and tell you beforehand that I will probably have to use FedEx from now on, I didnt realize I was asking for trouble. Imagine how I feel now, when Im contacted by my customer and they tell me all but 6 cookies were broken upon arrival!! And not just a bit broken, but CRUSHED! Im furious and embarrassed because thats not how I do business, but apparently you do. You didnt pack the box to my specifications, you were rude and flippant, and now I have to go through the big fat hassle of a claim at the UPS website. I will NEVER use you again. I will go to FedEx and maybe it will cost me more, but I will eat it just so that I never do business with you again.
