Dear Wyoming High School athlete: Greetings from Wyoming High - TopicsExpress

Dear Wyoming High School athlete: Greetings from Wyoming High School. I hope you are enjoying your summer and enjoying your time away from school and spending time with friends and family. I am writing you this letter based on your interest for playing for the Wyoming High School Boy’s Tennis team this fall or suggestion from another coach at the high school recommending you to possibly participate in our tennis program. We have a great season ahead of us, which starts in less than two weeks (on Wednesday August 14), and I am looking forward to working with each one of you. I am encouraged to see old and new faces, and this years’ success will be determined by your time, commitment, and effort being put into the Wyoming High School’s Boy’s Tennis team and those individuals who make the choice to team with you on this goal. Our upcoming season practice schedule and matches are attached. Our practices right at the beginning of the season will be very rigorous and intense, as we will need to determine the varsity spots quickly as our matches start within 7 days of the season starting. At Wyoming High School, please know that we are a team, no one is an individual, therefore everyone will be expected to treat everyone else with respect and be willing to work with any and all other boys on the team. Also all boys are expected to show up on time to practice and be at every practice, unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time with the coach prior to the day of practice (but this could lead you to not playing a match). Also, please note, you must have a physical and physical card filled out and turned in the office, before August 14, and before I can let you practice or play for the team. Sports Physicals are available from Spectrum Health at 616-267-8660 with Dr. Axtman for $31 (if you call for an appointment identify yourself as a Wyoming High School student) or Concentra Urgent Care offers sports physicals at every medical center location for around $35 on a walk in basis. MHSAA physical forms are available from athletic office at the high school. Forms must be completely filled out (by a doctor and signed by a parent and returned to the athletic office (please give to Mrs. Paxson or Mr. Hollern in the athletic office) as soon as possible (prior to August 14th). If you or your parents have any questions please feel free to give me a call. I am looking forward to working with each one of you and am hoping to continue to bring pride to the new Wyoming Wolves Tennis Team. Additionally if you know of anyone else interested in playing tennis, we are still looking for many willing individuals, to play for the Wyoming High School this fall. Please have them call me, Coach Bushen (616-690-5582) or email me [email protected], as soon as possible. Thanks so much, and I look forward to seeing each of you on the 14th of August at Lamar Park. “The Strength of the Wolf is the Pack” Sincerely, Coach Bushen (616)690-5582 [email protected] Wyoming High School Boy’s Varsity Tennis Coach
