Dear Yes members and supporters. Were all disappointed by the result of the Referendum. Some of us find it difficult to understand how the massive support we all saw and felt on polling day could somehow result in a No outcome. Many of us are saddened, angry and indeed frightened at the way the mainstream media have framed the debate. I think that the overwhelming feeling is that the wonderful, creative and positive vision we have of an independent Scotland, the energy and commitment and trust in ourselves that we have shown as a local, grass-roots campaign should not just dissipate and disappear. Therefore I suggest that we meet together soon to decide whether or not we should continue or if there might be some way that our group could continue to do useful work in the community. Ive asked Erin to arrange a meeting in Aviemore Community Centre, in the room where we launched our campaign. Were looking at Monday 29th September. Well be in touch soon to confirm this. Meantime, I would ask that we all consider ways that we can build on the work weve done. Weve enjoyed each others company, warmth and good humour on this amazing journey.
