Dear all, As Christmas arrives we would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank the cadets and staff for all of their efforts during 2014. It has been a splendid year for the Squadron. As you will know, we always plan on making a mark each year and 2014 has been one without exception. It has been quite stunning for raising our profile and standards. There have been many highlights over the last 12 months with cadets achieving in many areas, in particular winning Surrey Wings most prestigious competition with a clean sweep in the Drill Competition. We have had two cadets promoted to the highest rank a cadet can attain, Cadet Warrant Officer (CWO) and have run two training courses, Tomahawk Training Course and the Ambiorix Cadre Course, with great success. Cadets have attained classification badges, along with first aid badges too and we have also had a Deputy Lieutenant Certificate awarded. There have been so many awards to give out that we have held an Awards Evening in addition to our Annual Formal Inspection! Currently, we have a cadet on the Junior Leaders Course! Bag Packing has also been a success in 2014 and without doubt needed all the cadets to make it worthwhile. Cadets have also been on several Annual Camps to various Royal Air Force Stations. When the Royal International Air Tattoo came to RAF Fairford we were lucky to meet 350 Squadron Belgian Air Component (formerly 350 (Belgian) Squadron RAF) and we look forward to meeting them again in 2015. We have also had two staff members make the leap from Civilian Instructors to Sergeant (ATC). These are just some of our highlights! Its fair to say that we have had a fabulous year and lots of fun too. Thank you to all of the Cadets, Staff, Committee Members, Friends and family who have made it all possible.
