Dear all, I’m deeply saddened about the way our foreign affairs and mobilization departments are handling the mobilization processes here in diaspora. It seems like our leaders don’t understand or care to do the right thing to win the “imposed” war. my grievances account to power struggles that have already stem among those who already hold position in structure and those who seek positions in it as well . Indirect factions have already budded up within our movement, Similar to what had taken place among our politicians in juba before the war. Moreover, Chapter leaders are taking sides behind delegations and mobilization personnel in attempt to climb the ladder of the structure of the movement even faster. Mobilizing teams are wrestling as to who get the credibility for the formation of the SPLM Secretariat abroad. Woefully, team A abolishes what team B has put in place or B involve in an A team’s job without consent or recommendation of the other team members. Are our leaders mobilizing or disbanding us? We cannot afford more of undoing nor do we allow confusion in the SPLM leadership at this important time in the history. Most significantly, hidden agenda or any undermining issues are unacceptable in our effort to shoot straight and organize our victimize public to support the cause. The organizational work order has been seriously violated, it’s clear that the movement organizational chain of command becomes a thing of the past. Should we function and execute our duties in the absent of leadership hierarchies? To my surprise, I was shockingly alienated by fellow comrades in the movement when I raise concerns about an individuals who deliberately avail himself in a weekly leadership meeting in which he was not belong and shouldn’t had been in it in the first place. This man thing of himself as a prominent leader but miserably failed to act and carry the duty of the movement as he refused to deputized his fellow countrymen in the leadership because of power greed he has shown. Let there be no doubt that this war we are fighting is not a month’s long war where we might contemplate its end and step on other’s heads to make it to the top of hierarchical ladder to earn a ministerial or ambassadorship position. It is a war that might last years if not decades. It is a war that we need to strategize in order to win. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Said, “Those who love peace must learn to organize themselves as well as those who are against it”. Comrades, the UPDF’s presence in our country to fight alongside government forces was not Museveni’s personal interest alone as you might think. Believe it or not, the world’s hegemonic government of United States of America has tasked Uganda - just like the way a good leader would delegate an official to carry out its duty in foreign country. It is the United States’ international relation policy and national interest to secure the world peace. As the world’s policeman, United States is doing its best to extinguish us off by using Uganda to do the job. We must educate the American law maker about the genesis of this crises in order for US to tell Uganda to leave south Sudan for us win this war. Truly yours Abraham Yuek USA
