Dear facebook friends, I need some legal help with a situation .... When my brother passed away 3 years ago, someone from his church asked mom if they could have his car to give to someone that was in need of transportation. Of course my mom, in her grief, said o.k., so they gave his car to a young man who was in re-hab to help him get on his feet. I went to the courthouse and had the car title put in my name and received a title. The person that got the car ended up back at a crack house and had to give the car up and go back into re-hab. The car was then given to a young woman to use to carry her ailing father back and forth to the doctor. I was asked to sign a bill of sale to the girl for $20.00 so she would be o.k. if she got pulled over by the police. I kept the title and continued to get the tag for the car for 2 years and give the church the tag, and they would re-imburse me for the tag.I kept the title because I never felt right about signing over my brothers car. No one contacted me this year about re-newing the tag this year so I called and found out that the old man had passed away and the church didnt have any more involvement with the girl. I got her number and contacted her and offered to sell her the car cheap and she said that would be fine. Now she wont pay or return my calls and I dont know what I can do. Heres the situation; she has the car and a bill of sale that I did sign. I have the title and never intended on giving her or anyone else the car. I have a son of my own that is struggling and could really use a car. Any suggestions or advice ..... Thanks .....
