Thought of the Day: He is always the same When I awoke this morning I knew with absolute confidence that God did not change overnight. I knew – I’ll say that again I KNEW that I would be greeted by our unchangeable God, he had not changed overnight. Hebrews 13:8 (AMP) says “Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).” HE IS ALWAYS THE SAME. Whether I woke up in a good mood or bad mood; I knew that I didn’t have to worry about what kind of mood he was in. I knew that he is not fickle nor does he vacillate. He is always the same. Whether I had a good day yesterday or not I can count on his unconditional love for me. I know that no matter what circumstances that are in our lives, I know he is for us. I know he will not abandon us. I know that even when we sin his love, affection and his desire for our good does not changed. Please read this slowly: Romans 8:31-39 (MSG) “So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:” Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV) “For I am persuaded (CAN WE SHOUT I AM PERSAUDED) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM HIS LOVE! Listen to this declaration in Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change.” I want to jump up and down and shout He does not change – You are always the same. If that isn’t enough - Psalm 103:8 “The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy” and then there is Psalm 145:8 “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.” Lord we praise you because YOU ARE ALWAYS THE SAME. youtu.be/9gXrJtvpJXM
