Dear famous preacher: While I sat in a tent in Branson and listened to some of your message, which really wasnt a message per se, but a pep talk at a spiritual rally, I noticed how you all but completely ignored the people waiting to meet you when you were done, because you felt the need to sneak out of the side opening of the tent behind the platform rather than to meet and pray for the over 800 in attendance Monday afternoon. But heres what you missed: You missed the young woman who sat near me in the back who desperately needed prayer but could not get to the front to have you pray for her because of your security detail. You missed the gentleman to my left who was waiting to meet you for his need. You missed the young woman with her small children, who sat in front of me that by just the mere look at her, one could tell she needed prayer desperately. There were many more you simply did not care enough to meet as you quickly left the tent to go off to who knows where, but I appreciate the fact that you had them remind everyone to donate their money to your word of faith ministry you are famous for preaching. Of course, maybe you did have to leave, maybe it was a time schedule, but then, does a time schedule really outweigh the need of the many who labored to come and see you in the first place? Even Jesus took time out and met with the people, praying all day and possibly into the night for the sick and weary. Sorry famous preacher, but when you feel you are too big to step down from your pedestal to meet and pray with the people who have helped you start your work in the first place, tells me you have lost your way and God is not pleased, and unless you repent of your pride, the fall you will face will be a great one indeed.
