Dear folks, There are moments few and far between when a person walks uninvited onto the stage of your life and commands the room. You will stand a while stunned, transfixed; when finally you remember the lines, you speak them with greater passion than ever. Joe Henry is one such character to me. This week he released what I believe to be his masterpiece, a devastating and deeply uplifting piece of work called Invisible Hour. I had the tremendous privilege of contributing to the core sound of guitar strings and close harmonies, and shared the boat with some of my favourite musicians; Lisa Hannigan, Greg Liesz, The Milk Carton Kids, Jay Bellerose and more besides. I believe that in these songs, Joe has laid bare his truths. He invites you to stop by, if you wish, to sit and have a quiet drink whilst he tells you what he has seen out on the road.
