Dear friend During the last 15 years of Congress rule in Delhi and Congress led UPAs rule at the Centre, Delhi has become an increasingly unsafe city for the women. Here are some key indicators for your perusal: - As compared to 2012, there was a five fold increase in crime against women in the city - On an average 5 rapes, 10 molestations, 10 kidnapping and 2 cases of eve-teasing are being registered every day in Delhi After the December 16, 2012 incident, a Nirbhaya Fund was proposed but the various ministries of the Centre kept fighting over the possession of the Rs. 1000 crore corpus fund and nothing happened on the ground. The Union Budget provided for Rs. 2000 crore Nirbhaya Fund towards safety of women. But, the Nirbhaya fund remains as it was on the first day of its creation-- merely an announcement. Not a single penny has moved out from the coffers of the Finance Ministry towards the safety of women. - 590 rape cases were registered in 2012 in Delhi, while more than1300 such cases have been registered in 2013 with an increase of nearly 250%. - During the same period there been over 500% increase in molestation cases. - There were 1750 cases of kidnapping and abduction registered in in 2012 which rose to more than 2900 in 2013. To change this state of lawlessness, let us bring a government which can prevent crime through strong measures and commitment towards women safety. Let us vote for women safety.
