Congressman Maloney currently leads by just over one percent of total votes cast. At this moment, even allowing for our likely majority of the absentee ballots, we dont see a path to victory. I just got off the phone with Congressman Maloney and congratulated him on his victory and wished him well. We both agree that all of the votes will be counted and we will respect the final tally. No team could have worked with more heart or more talent than ours--or made more remarkable progress against the steepest spending differential of any competitive congressional race in the nation--or have more dedicated friends than you.
