Dear friends, As the year draws to its inevitable end and I decide to retreat back in to my cave for a short break from bothering you all with my incessant self promotion and hustling, I thought I would take a moment to write a few words....think of it as Bob Evans Xmas message if you will... In 2013 there were three major world events. China landed on the moon, Nelson Mandela passed on and I released my fourth album called Familiar Stranger. It is my first record written living in Melbourne and one I am very proud of. Thank you to everyone out there who has bought or will buy a copy. I also spent a good part of the year on tour. I think I played 55 shows all up and visited every state and territory. Thank you to everyone who paid to come and watch me perform. Im constantly baffled by this powerful need I have to be on stage and to do it as much as possible in as many different places as I can and if there wasnt a small dedicated number of you to perform to then Im not sure quite what I would do. I hope I have been able to repay this pleasure to you by giving you some decent entertainment. I am going to spend January playing shows with my family band around the country...refresh my mind and dirty my soul a little bit. Then Im going to finish writing my next record. I hope you all have a happy festive season. It was a pleasure meeting so many of you after the shows this year. LOVE XXXBOBXXX
