Dear friends, Good evening. Tonight I write to pay tribute to my colleague in the House of Commons, Jim Flaherty, who sadly passed away today. Mr. Flaherty spent almost two decades serving Ontario and serving Canada. Last month, he resigned as Minister of Finance, and looked forward to time with his family. I got to know Jim through work-outs at the gym; I enjoyed hearing him talk of his wife and his three sons. He was a very proud father. Tonight, my heart goes out to his family.
