Dear friends, I wanted to let you know about an exciting opportunity to help a good Republican candidate, Paula Benoit, and have some fun with your fellow Young Republicans while you’re at it. As you know, we have a vacant State Senate seat in Sagadahoc County. We’ve gotten off to a great start in that race, thanks to the hard work of our very own Joe Turcotte and Ashley Sampson, but it getting to be crunch time. We need to win back this seat to keep Democrats like Justin Alfond from turning Maine into Massachusetts North, and we need your help. The Maine Democratic Party has spent $60,000 dollars in this race and that doesn’t even count all the money spent by the Maine People’s Alliance. We need your help to stop the liberal machine. On Saturday, August 24, we’re asking all Young Republicans throughout the state to take one day to help win a State Senate seat. We’re asking you to come down to Bath to knock on doors from 2:30 to 5:00 pm. If you can’t make it for the full time, come anyways. Afterwards, we’re going to get some drinks and pizza nearby. This is a great chance for Maine YRs from all over the state to come together and work for a better future for Maine. We all don’t get together very often, and it can be a real relief to know you’re not the only conservative under 40 in Maine!
