Dear friends, Please join me in honoring the life of my friend, Briggs Berry. This past September, he lost his life to a rare immune deficiency condition called X-linked hyper IgM. He was just 18 years old. His older brother also lost his life the same disease. Briggs was a dedicated junior golfer who I had the pleasure to work with and got to know from a very young age. His enthusiasm for life, positive outlook and faith was truly inspiring. He was a sports nut and attracted a following of support from multiple high profile sports figures. He used this attention to help bring awareness to his rare disease. (See for yourself on twitter: @BriggsBerry) I’m humbled to team up with Everett and Deanna Berry to honor their amazing son with the 1st Annual Briggs Berry Birdies for Kids event at Oeste Ranch Golf Course in Weatherford, Texas. The event will benefit the Briggs Berry Heart of a Lion Scholarship Fund.
