Dear friends Udayam is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year marking five decades of dedicated service to society. Udayam began its journey in 1964 and has been providing a platform for several budding music artists to showcase their talents. The Thyaga Brahma Aradhana celebrations with enthusiastic participation by young artistes have been an Annual feature for more than four decades. It gives us immense satisfaction to state that over the years, we have been able to provide stage opportunities to several artistes, many of whom have achieved positions of eminence in the field of Carnatic music. Udayam has been furthering the cause of education through Udayam Education Trust (“UET”). UET, established on 11th March 1968, has been providing scholarships to needy and meritorious students for their academic pursuits. Over the last 45 years, we have provided scholarships of more than Rs. 30 Lacs to over 1000 students which has enabled them to continue with their academics without any hindrance. We are delighted to state that the Udayam scholars have consistently been doing extremely well in their academics and several students are securing top ranks in their respective classes. In the current financial year, we have provided scholarship of Rs. 471,870/- to 70 students. To celebrate our Golden Jubilee Year, we are organizing the Thyaga Brahma Aradhana Celebrations on Saturday, 29th March 2014 ( from 4 P.M. to 8.30 P.M.) and 30th March 2014 ( 10 A.M. to 1 P.M), followed by a Musical Extravaganza by LAVAVINYAS, a Rhythm and Melody Odyssey on 30th March 2014 at Sree Thyagaraja Hall from 6.30 P.M. onwards.
