The festival, NOORUZ (also known in various countries as Neuruz, Nauryz, Navruz, Novruz, or Nowruz) with a rich heritage is celebrated through the centuries. At its core, the event encompasses concepts of peace, charity, purity and love. This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Spring Festival in London. Student societies from six countries are uniting to celebrate this wonderful occasion and invite you to join the festivities! You will have an exciting experience tasting various national cuisines, seeing traditional clothes and folklore, enjoying performances of young talents, games and demonstrations of traditions of six countries. There are going to be various regional favourites, including PLOV cooked right during the event courtesy of our professional Chef, a traditional YURT, Azerbaijani backgammon championship, fun traditional games, souvenirs, and much, much, more! Dating its roots back to March 2008, Nooruz at UCL has over the years become a real tradition! This year marks the 5th Anniversary Year of the event, a milestone for the respective societies involved.
