Dear friends and family, As most of you know, my father passed away yesterday, March 24th. He had cancer. The past couple of days have been full of emotions, both sad and joyous. My dad meant so much to me and I looked up to him as my main role model. I will miss him very much. Dad was a humble man, perhaps his strongest suit of all. He had many accomplishments, from being an athlete, to being a captain in Vietnam, to working closely within the Catholic church which led to the privilege of meeting his holiness Pope John Paul II in person, to retiring from a fulfilling career as a US Federal Judge. I feel joyous because he is no longer suffering and my faith assures me he is with Christ in heaven. He constantly reminded us to celebrate his life and not be sad. I intend to do so shortly. His two most important priorities in life were his dedication to the Catholic church and to his family. It would be an honor to have you attend the closed casket mass. There wont be a viewing.
