Dear local bands. Please don`t place your posters over the tops of those of others. We all want to get the word out of what we are doing. We all want to be heard. I appreciate the time commitment, passion, expense and creativity in creating an event, designing a poster and the leg work involved in finding the few spaces we can legally put posters up, and the people skills involved in asking local businesses if they can spare some window space, Because I live it year round. I was deeply saddened to see someone not only paste over a poster for an event I`m promoting, but also that of another local venture that deserves greater respect. I`ve resolved that this year I`m going to try and let anger wash over me, as all anger does in a rural environment is make one look like an ass and a dramatist. Can we just be respectful and community minded? It ain`t like we`re getting rich or playing to thousands. We`re just all doing our thing albeit in different musical genres.
