Dear members: some people on this page jump to conclusions and consider themselves as vets!! and keep on accusing the vets who offered to help us.. that their work is outdated, they lack experience, and that theyre not some professionals or even use laser during operation with no proof and just assumption because they saw some dogs with open wounds ( and the vets got a video that they do use laser for operations which I dont need to post on the page for sure!!). As long as the internal layers of the operation had been done perfectly, no bleeding and the dog is fine, eating and happy jumping around.. so theres no worries at all, and its normal to happen to any strays as theyre not pets living at our homes, to get enough attention or treatment post operations ( and to take care of any dog post operation is the IMPORTANT part to be any operation successful, which we unfortunately cant do and dont have a shelter to keep the dogs in, neither shelter, nor foster families for such dogs.. therefore Ive no other choices to make except to keep them at this 2 star hotel, a modest place until they recover, with a guy being paid.. and that for sure would be better than release the dog immediately after the operation in their areas of living which was a mistake and were learning from our experience for sure. As its a new process to spay the female dogs, and we noticed that its not correct to release them even after 3 or 4 days, therefore Ive decided, after consulting Dr. Ahmed at ACC, to keep them at the motel for the minimum of 8 days with a collar on.. something would be better than nothing for sure, and the guy is trying to improve his service and we must give him a time to do so. I think that we cant judge any vet, specially when the vet confirms that we shouldnt worry about the upper layers.. if the stray dog would pull off the stitches and opens it, or other dog may bite it off while fighting, so as long as the internal layers are done perfectly and safe so we should not worry about it as it will heal while applying the antibiotic spray . I just want to confirm that all the operation which were done at HOVM were some successful operations and we found no dogs in pain or suffering post operations.. it was just 2 incidents which we had a bad result and thats because of the following: the black dog which ran away after the operation and was lost for 2 days, had to be restitched again, and the dog which we shifted at another faraway area after the operation, and she had left the area walking for days, which harmed the surgery for sure, as no one knows what she was through during that period.. and after re-stitching the wound.. shes been fine now, happy, and got no problems at all.
