Dear supporters of Palestine, The last three weeks has seen Israels bombing campaign in Gaza flatten whole districts, schools and homes. Over 1200 Palestinians have been killed and scores more injured. This slaughter is going on unabated and the Australian government is effectively endorsing it. It is vital that Australians are seen to be on the streets week after week to indicate to our government that we, as people of conscience and morality, will stand against Israels brutality. To this end two demonstrations have been called Stop the bombing! End the siege of Gaza! Friday 1st August, 6pm State Library of Victoria (Endorsed by Victorian Trades Hall Council, The Australian Education Union, the Maritime Union of Australia, the Coalition against Israeli Apartheid, Jews Against Israeli Apartheid, Students for Palestine, Monash University Student Union, and the Victorian College of the Arts Student Union) and Free Palestine! Sunday 10th August, 1pm State Library of Victoria We are asking you (and your organisation) to do the following 1. Email all your supporters/ email lists advertising the protest 2. Advertise the protest on Facebook - here is the event. Please ask people to click attend, invite their friends and share it around. 3. Send out a text message to all your supporters/ community groups 4.
