Dear Mamma....Pappa....bro....sis....sweetheart....friend.....whoever-in-my-life I ask not for your pity....but for you to understand me. I ask not for your advise ....but for you to trust me. I ask not for your favours....but you to love me. I ask not for anything....but just that you walk beside me. And then we will be able to feel each other rather than judge And then we will be able to free each other rather than possess And then we will have lived the bond rather than have survived it. . . These lines were written when I realised that no relationship requires demeaning sympathy but compassionate empathy to become a strong bond.The former cripples you and the later energises.
