Dear unconscious members of the media: Please take some time off. Seriously- you must need a vacation. It takes a lot of energy to exaggerate reality, to darken the sky, to shove tragedy in the faces of humanity until we are overcome with so much survivalist anxiety that we are gripped to your news reports. Surely you must be tired out from playing this nasty little game that leaves people nervous and frightened, often without cause. Surely you dont feel good about being pawns in a system that makes money from making people afraid. Yes, there is tremendous suffering in the world, but thats not the whole story. When I look outside, I see the sun shining. I see a woman walking her dog. I see a plane flying overhead. I see the sun slowly rising. I dont see tragedy everywhere I look. Why do you? ~J.Brown
