OK: Featuring today a newly discovered species of Aztekium, viz. valdezii. The genus grows on limestone cliffs in Mexico, and finds it profitable to blend in with them . . . except when it blooms. The diminutive shape and wrinkly, rocky, shrivelled (even when turgid) texture captivates me, plus the contrast of plump, greenhouse-grown, selected specimens versus the wretched IN SITU shots. And, then, when, they, bloom!!!! In addition to standard shots of PURE six-ribbed EBAY-BIDDABLENESS, I give pix of A. valdezii seedlings in coarse grit, and tiny seedlings grafted on pereskiopsis stock. The pereskiopsis stock isnt even a centimeter across, so the hatched-yesterday seedlingettes can only be 1-2 mm!
