Dear you, Come celebrate with us as we finally release our new full-length record, “All Sadness, Grinning into Flow”, on 12” vinyl LP, courtesy of the wonderful Learning Curve Records. This record is well over two years in the making, and we are incredibly proud of the final product. Some songs came together very quickly and almost feel like they wrote themselves, while we labored over others until our hair fell out. Despite that, the recording process was fast, organic, and intuitive. All the drum tracking was finished in a single day, and what you hear on the record is either the first or second take (Eric truly is a badass). Our old friend and frequent collaborator, Marcus Rubio, contributed an arrangement for violin, French horn, trombone, saxophone, and piano that ends one side of the LP beautifully, and blew away all expectations that we had of any type of collaboration with our favorite young musical genius. Recorded and mixed by Bob Catlin (Pigface, Psychic TV, S.A. Slayer), mastered by James Plotkin (Sunn O))), Khanate, O.L.D.), and featuring the beautiful artwork of Meghan Fest and Michael Velliquette. We are elated to have found a home on Learning Curve Records, whose roster is brimming with killer bands and is run professionally by a total badass. And, as always, we will be celebrating at The Ten Eleven, our favorite venue in San Antonio, with some really great bands and friends (TBA). We want to thank everyone for the years of support, not only locally (our SA fans are the best, we truly love all of you), but everyone that’s bought a shirt or record, have come to see us live, had their glasses broken or face elbowed in the crowd at one of our shows, let us sleep on their floor with their cats, or shared a Facebook event. This record is for you. And for me. Love, James Woodard
