Dearest Customers After six glorious years of running The Walrus and the Carpenter I have decided to sell the store and concentrate all my attentions on my other career. Naturally, this decision is tinged with a good deal of sadness. Jack and I opened the Walrus and the Carpenter in 2008 and we have worked very hard since then to build a beautiful store that engages its big customers as much as its little ones. It’s been a wonderful journey and we have treasured your support, kindness and friendship along the way. Thank you all very much. Our final day at the store will be Saturday 26th July and we would love it if you dropped in to say goodbye. For us, in the meantime, it’s business as usual with new seasons stock arriving all the time. The new owner will introduce themselves over the course of the next few weeks as they take over the reins.
