Dearest Good Friend ‘We are His own’ I called and spoke - TopicsExpress

Dearest Good Friend ‘We are His own’ I called and spoke to three old friends’ sometime back after a long time without communicating. To sum up what we laughed about; we have had many trials and sorrows and times that we felt like there was no tomorrow. In those confusing moments, we didnt know whether God was in a slumber or awake and that made us covet those who had an upper hand in many areas of life. It was easy to conclude that God favours certain individuals. But in the midst of our disillusions, one prime factor had remained true. At the end of every situation, God moved in and gave us a blessed assurance that our trials came to only make us strong. Our conversation reminded me of Andrea Crouch’s greatest hit ‘through it all’. In the lyrics, this talented singer expresses from his heart that God’s love sometimes gets overshadowed by faith overwhelming circumstances: The very situations that leave us helpless in our vision. But regardless of how we view or feel about each circumstance that crosses or invade the comfort of our lives; God’s love is right where we are when we can’t see it: In that very moment, when the world is at its cruellest and pushes us to a yielding point in life; a position where we feel like ‘oops, I’m all by myself without consolation!’ Yes in those lonely hours, Jesus comes to let us know, that we are his own. That day before the end of conversation, we thanked God for the spiritual landmines that broke our legs, the mountains we climbed and the valleys and storms He brought us through; for if we never had problems like what we went through, we wouldnt know that God can solve every situation that troubles our minds. For sure we wouldn’t know that faith in Him avails much I have no idea what is rending you apart or depressing you. Is a divorce or lack of something in your life? Do you feel like you are all alone in this world and nobody seems to notice what you are passing through. Are you tired of going in circles or asking for God’s help and yet He holds his peace? Well God wants you to know that your trials are there to only make you strong. Jesus will help you pull through, for in the book of Isaiah chapter 43:2 he says “When you go through deep waters, He will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fires of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you” You will come out pure as gold Your Old Pal Phillip
