Dearest fracktivists, this is an URGENT CALL OUT for an email action TODAY if you havent already done so, please fill out and email this letter, share the event EVERYWHERE and invite EVERYONE you know. Heres why its so important: under the Investor-State Dispute Mechanism (ISDS), which is part of the draft EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic & Trade Agreement (CETA), investors will be able to SUE STATES for introducing fracking bans, or even strict regulation, if this deal goes through as is. Member States have their *final* opportunity to comment on the CETA text this Saturday, September 12th, at the meeting of the EU Trade Policy Committee. On this event page youll find a draft letter to be emailed to the heads of state and trade ministers of EU Member States. We call on them to take ISDS out, or otherwise not to sign the CETA - A CRUCIAL DECISION! [Also, down the page, theres a brief introduction to ISDS and why we NEED to oppose it].
