Debate on the Democracy for All constitutional amendment began on the Senate floor on Monday. PFAW joined partner organizations, senators and representatives in a rally outside the U.S. Capitol in support of the amendment to overturn decisions like Citizens United and get big money out of elections. And we teamed up with our allies to deliver more than three million petition signatures in support of an amendment. Sept 8 rally 1 The Senate is still debating the amendment and this is a huge opportunity to raise awareness -- HELP KEEP IT GOING BY WRITING A LETTER TO THE EDITOR OF YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER>> Republican Senators Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Orrin Hatch and others have taken to the Senate floor to lie about the Democracy for All amendment, saying it would lead to book banning and prevent voter registration drives ... Tea Party Senator Mike Lee of Utah even said that the amendment sponsors want to silence voices like Thomas Paine and Martin Luther King! These are the lengths theyll go to in order to defend their wealthy benefactors ability to buy our elections. Dont let Republicans get away with taking sides against the American people!
