Debating about the format for my deli book... should I alternate chapters, one being the books ongoing narrative, the next being a lengthy anecdotal aside about a crazy customer interaction? Or should I just blend them all together into a novel-like story that goes off onto customer-interaction-related tangents here and there? Or should I forget the narrative entirely and just publish a series of loosely connected short deli stories?
