Debbie Robins Slusher 3 hrs · Edited (11:55 am Today) I am furious! Our BFI trash can that we bought over 20 years ago was picked up today. I have our address written in large print on two sides saying it is our property. Of course I dont have a receipt from that long ago, but when Allied locates it, I would like to see the copy of their inventory list that has the identifying can number on it that shows how that can has been tracked! We called Progressive and they referred us to Allied. We called Allied and they said that they are going by a list the City gave them. Why doesnt Allied have an official list! They are claiming to own the can?? My husband is ready to call the police and file theft. I hope the City can help straighten this mess out--we have called and left message with Abby at the City, waiting on a call back. Update @ 12:55 pm today: I just talked to Ashley at Allied and she told me that they smash the cans that they pick up. I asked her if she was telling me the truth (because I couldnt believe what I was hearing). She said yes she was. Our can was a perfectly good trash can. So this means Allied is destroying perfectly good property!! Really? Can anyone on this FB site tell me if they have gone through the same thing and what was the outcome?
