Debriefing after Artist in Residence at St. Marys Elementary school in Bismarck ND. What a wonderful experience and such supportive staff and administration. In the community event several students spoke about the projects they completed, family history/stories and how learning about their own culture. On a culinary note, we were directed by the hotel guest services to one of Bismarcks best Mexican restaurants Fiesta Villa on main. We gave it a ONE STAR after a huge dining bill and eating the Doritos appetizer chips with salsa they got from NEW YORK CITY! the rest is HISTORY. Another memorial meal was at the prestigious PEACOCK ALLEY. the tough Peacock ribeye steak was 45% fat and gristle but a HUGE baked potato another large dining bill. The greatest attribute of Bismarck dining was the caramel rolls at the Lucky Duck WOW,...sorry JJs in Great Falls Mt. Thank you to Mr. Archuleta a great photographer from New Mexico working with St. Marys School that brought us some REAL New Mexico Chilies to take home. great time with the students.
