Dec 12 - A Christmas message from the Editor of the Corozal Daily - For most of us, Christmas is a time of giving and rejoicing with our family, friends and loved ones. Perhaps we give and we receive gifts and cheers. While we celebrate, let us not forget the purpose of Christmas and let us be mindful of those families in our villages and communities in Corozal that may not be able to treat themselves with the gifts and cheers of Christmas. Let us be considerate and pray for these families and their children. We have always been aware of the magnificent community spirit here in Corozal and that was reinforced last night at the spectacular Christmas parade that was greatly supported by our community. As Corozal welcomes our snowbirds from the USA and Canada, let us all bear in mind that they come here to enjoy our warm weather and people and let us all continue to contribute to their happy stay, joyful and safe experience. Let us all continue to raise the bar for a Better, Cleaner and Safer Corozal, as our community continues to develop in the right direction. Our community is what we make of it, so let us all take part in the progress of our beautiful Corozal community. Let us all come together in congratulating and wishing a Merry Christmas to all those who continue to tirelessly and extraordinarily serve our community and people. Here is wishing all those that make a difference in our lives, our teachers, public servants, police officers, police cadets, COPS volunteers, Neighbourhood Watch Groups, Corozal Sanitation workers, Corozal House of Culture, Border Management, doctors, nurses, youth groups, students, Justices of the Peace and especially our sugar cane farmers and their families a Merry Christmas and a wonderful and prosperous New Year. To the elderly, the handicapped and their families – Merry Christmas. The challenge for the New Year 2015 is to continue to improve ourselves, our businesses, our Corozal community and to create the environment that will be the envy to others. Thank you Corozal and Merry Christmas everyone as we look forward to continue serving our Corozal community and bring you the Corozal Daily as a public service news blog free of cost. Thank you and Merry Christmas for the great support to all those 2157 likes that we have received just over 13 months of the Daily being on its Facebook page. Merry Christmas and see you in January 2015. Cheers Editor Corozal Daily
