December 24, 2014 The Game Changers of Liberia-USA predicts uncertainty over Grand Bassa Senatorial Leadership after its long pending election. The election is over, but the people of Grand Bassa are left with many questions for a little over nine years. As an Activist, I will like to take this time and reflect on the activities of our Senators representing various constituencies in the country. We have found out that since the election of Senator Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence, of the Liberty Party and former Senator Gbarzohngar Milton Findley, the both leaders has not been able to pass or lobby for a single law in the interest of their Constituency. Moreover, there are questions we are left with at this moment. Is Senator Lawrence inability to perform is due to her recent election? What are the laws that are being lobby/passed in the Senate by Grand Bassa Senators to date ? The activities of the both Senators in the past, had not fully define the status quo of Grand Bassa. From this point, we will expect positive changes come 2015. The power of democracy lies in the people. It is time that politics go beyond handouts to tangible development of various Districts in the County. The Game Changers of Liberia-USA has taken a look around the County, and wish to remind Senator Lawrence and its incubent Mr. Jonathan Kaipay that Grand Bassa County is in need of change. Please lobby to pass the Coast Erosion Bill that has been languishing in the Legislature for many years. It is time to save the City of Buchanan from erosion. Additionally, having two Senators from the same Political Party exhibits limited levels of competition in the Country. And, we wish to challenge citizens of Grand Bassa to seek opportunity thatll create better competition in the future. As Aristotle once said, competition initiate development. it is our hope that the Liberty Party Senators will work in the interest of our citizens and not themselves. The burdens of development lies on the shoulders of the both incubent Senators to work together and transform Grand Bassa by lobbying with others to pass laws that will work in the interest of the County. The GCL hope that this editorial will not be misconstrue by the Karngas and Kaipay s families as an attack, but as a measurement of their abilities to work in the interest of Grand Bassa County. Thanks, Emmanuel Bravy Daykeay, BA, MDiv, MBA, ( Hon. DD ), Doctorate Candidate in Finance. GCL Executive Director/USA.
