Immortal Mortality Lying on the motionless bed in the monotonous chamber of the hospital, from the maze of machines that surrounded me I edged forward a little to catch a glimpse of what lay outside the window. The silent whisper of the hustling leaves contrasted with the melodious chirping of the birds. The calm breeze blew a little mud steering it in my direction, saying hello. As I felt the cool breeze on my body, it seemed to take a part of me away with every stroke, back to the earth where I came from. It was the window to my next destination. And as I looked at the new sapling growing from the soil, I knew the machines portentous of my death around me, had got it all wrong . For my death was not the end, but my transition to a new life, in another form, to give new life. My mortality left me immortal.
