Deep Chocolate Brownies 1 egg 1 c. butterscotch ice cream topping 2 c. coarsely chopped pecans 2 c. flaked coconut 3/4 c. butter, softened 1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar 8 oz. bittersweet choc. melted and cooled 2 eggs 2 teas. vanilla 2 c. flour 1 t. baking powder 1/2 t. baking soda 1/2 t. salt 1(12oz) pkg. semisweet choc. pieces Preheat oven to 350. lightly grease a 13x9 baking pan. set aside. In a medium mixing bowl beat 1 egg with an electric mixer on med. speed until fluffy and light colored. Stir in ice cream topping. Fold in pecans and coconut; set aside. In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on med speed to high speed for 30 sec. Beat in brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in cooled chocolate, the 2 eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking powder and baking soda & salt; beat or stir into choc. mixture. Stir in choc. pieces. Spread in prepared pan; spead nut mixture over batter. Bake about 35 min. or until golden and set. cool in pan.
