Deeply disturbed, highly enraged and frankly sickened to hear my 6th grade daughter tell me tonight her best friend of the last 3 years cut herself trying to hurt herself from being called fat, ugly and stupid BC she wears glasses! I dont care if she weighed 600# but sadly she isnt but 80# soaking wet and called fat???? Im a product of bullying from family members & peers & even @ age 37 I still get called FAT almost daily but I know God created me specifically and I do not allow anyones opinion to define me but his. I know how often this happens and apparently younger these days and its so personal to me my college degree is in recreation wellness. I wanted to teach high school girls weights & p.e. so these girls could understand their worth but theres a solution..... PARENTS STOP TALKING DOWN TO YOUR CHILDREN AND OTHERS AROUND U AND LOVE THEM UNCONDITIONAL AND TELL THEM SPECIFICALLY MAKING KNOWN THEIR WORTH. STOP BEING SUCH STUCK UP ASSHOLES AND TEACH KIDS WHATS REALLY IMPORTANT WHICH IS NOT STUFF OR BRANDS teach them to embrace diversity! These kids are products of what they see and hear and they have so much hurt & anger & rejection they turn to ADDICTION & BULLYING. Start LOVING your children so they fully grasp and know LOVE!
